SJU Softball Continues Community Service Efforts

Jamaica, NY - On October 31, the St. John's softball team visited St. Mary's Children's Hospital in Bayside, N.Y. to spread Halloween cheer.

As part of their continuous community service program the team, clad in Halloween costumes, visited with these children who were unable to go trick-or-treating. Some of the student-athletes passed out candy and entertained with some dancing, while others enjoyed coloring with the children. Bedridden children were surprised with visits from Winnie the Pooh, cows and witches.

The days event was a great success, leaving both the children and the softball team with big smiles.
