Serafinko is named the conference’s top pitcher for a program-record fifth week this season as Stouffer adds the second honor roll nod of her career
NEW YORK — Following the final week of competition in the 2026 season, St. John's softball's Ana Serafinko was named the BIG EAST Pitcher of the Week and Cassidy Stouffer landed on the Weekly Honor Roll, the conference announced Monday.
With the award, Serafinko sets a new program record for the most Pitcher of the Week honors by a Johnnie in a single season with five, surpassing her own previous mark of four set during the 2025 campaign.
The senior southpaw was also recognized on Feb. 16, March 16, March 23 and April 27, earning the distinction in consecutive weeks on two separate occasions this season.
In the Red Storm's final week of play, Serafinko posted a 2.63 ERA across three appearances, including two starts, striking out 24 batters over 13.1 innings while holding opponents to a .216 batting average.
Serafinko delivered a strong outing against Villanova on May 3, allowing just one run over six innings with nine strikeouts. Serafinko also added 11 strikeouts over 5.1 innings against the Wildcats on May 1.
The BIG EAST's strikeout leader finished the season with 279 punchouts, which ranked second in all of NCAA Division I.
Stouffer picks up the second honor roll placement of her career after batting .556 across four starts with a double and three RBIs while reaching base at a .636 clip. The senior recorded a hit in three of the Johnnies' four contests, highlighted by a three-hit, two-RBI performance against Wagner on April 29.
The Miami native concluded her senior year batting .254 with 31 hits and 21 RBIs.
St. John's finishes the 2026 campaign receiving conference recognition in 11 weeks, earning 10 weekly honor roll placements, six Pitcher of the Week titles and one Player of the Week nod.
