St. Johns Softball Team Honored by the NFCA

Besides receiving team recognition, eight Red Storm student-athletes were also named NFCA All-America Scholar Athletes. Student-athletes had to acquire a 3.5 GPA for the 2001-2002 year in order to qualify for the individual honor. Current players honored include senior Alesha Argeras (Warren, Ohio) and sophomores Meghan Allman (San Diego, Calif.) and Jillian Sandoval (Orange, Calif.) . Class of 2002 honorees include: Cecelia Baston, Amy Crook, Ann Raab, Lisa Tropea, Chrissy Wellington.
The Red Storm will host their annual St. Johns Fall Classic on Saturday, October 5 at Red Storm Field. On Sunday, October 6, the team will host an alumni reunion for all former St. Johns players. For more information on this weekends activities, please contact: Debbie DeJong at 718-990-6178.
