After freshman Jillian Sandoval (Orange, Calif.) walked, senior Ann Raab (Freehold, N.J.) singled to load the bases. Freshman Allina Sainz (San Diego, Calif.)hit into a fielder's choice to drive Argeras home. The Red Storm led 1-0 after the first.
The Red Storm's 1-0 lead would hold until the bottom of the seventh. For Columbia, Zunno reached on a dropped third strike to start the inning. With the rain coming down hard, St. John's freshman pitcher Meghan Allman (San Diego, Calif.)hit the next four Lion batters, driving in the tying and winning runs.
On the day, Allman gave up three hits, two unearned runs, two walks and struck out eight in six innings. For Columbia, Allison Buehler allowed four hits, one earned run, walked one and struck out one in seven innings.

Cameron allowed five hits for two earned runs while walking one and striking out one in her first complete game of the year.
St. John's 29th game of the season marked the first time this year that Allman did not make an appearance. The games today also marked the first time since March 19, 2000 that senior Tiffany Howerton (Escondido, Calif.) did not start for the Red Storm. Howerton sat out resting a sore ankle she fouled a pitch off of against Yale.
The Red Storm return to action this weekend with two BIG EAST home doubleheaders. On Saturday, the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame come to town, followed by the Panthers of Pittsburgh on Sunday. Both doubleheaders are slated to begin a noon.
