St. Johns Announces Womens Basketball 2002-03 Schedule

The Red Storm kick off the Barnes Arico era with two early home games versus the University of Buffalo and Marist College. For Thanksgiving, St. Johns will head west to play in the Pepperdine Classic in Malibu, Calif. In the first game of the tournament, the Red Storm will take on Pepperdine before facing Wisconsin or Texas-Arlington.
Following Christmas break, St. Johns will visit Atlanta, Ga. for the Georgia Tech Classic. In game one, the Red Storm will play the host Yellow Jackets and play East Carolina or Florida Atlantic on day two.
The Red Storm open the conference portion of their schedule in early January with trips to Villanova and Boston College.
Seton Hall and Notre Dame visit Alumni Hall in mid-January for conference home openers. To round out the home schedule, St. Johns hosts the NCAA champion Connecticut on Tuesday, February 4 and Rutgers on Wednesday, January 19. The BIG EAST Women's Tournament is set for March 8-11 at the Louis Brown Athletic Center in Piscataway, N.J., to close the season.
