St. John's Women Fall to Boston College

The Red Storm's 37 points are the fewest given up by the Eagles this season. Boston College (9-3, 2-0 BIG EAST) held St. John's to 27.7 percent shooting in the game, the lowest of any of its opponents this year.
St. Johns' first field goal did not come until the 14:31 mark of the first half. The Eagles, off to a 2-0 start in the BIG EAST for the second consecutive season, led 40-11 at the break.
The Eagles shot 53 percent (30-57) from the floor in the game. They recorded a season high in steals (14) and a season low in turnovers (eight).
Senior Danielle Rainey (Los Angeles, Calif.)paced the Red Storm (6-7, 0-2 BE) with 12 points.
St. John's host Seton Hall on Saturday at Alumni Hall. Tipoff is slated for 2 p.m.
