Men's Golf History

The golf program has gained national recognition the past two years as an NCAA participant for the first time in school history. The program began collegiate competition in the 1940's. A list of highlights is found below:
- NCAA Tournament Participant (East Regional - 2001 and 2002)
- Finished second at 2001 BIG EAST Championship
- BIG EAST Individual Runner-up (Andrew Svoboda - 2001 and 2002)
- BIG EAST Individual Champion ( Svoboda - 2000)
- In the last four years the Red Storm have captured five team championships and four players who have won individual titles
- During the fall of 2000 the team captured two more titles and sophomore Andrew Svoboda captured medallist honors twice
- Svoboda was also named District II Player of the Month and was ranked among the top-100 players in the country
- In the last four years eight players have been selected to the All Big East Team
- Twelve players have been honored for their academic excellence by being selected to the Big East All Academic Team
- Six players have combined to win an impressive eight individual titles
