Softball vs. Providence Postponed

Jamaica, N.Y. - Today's BIG EAST softball doubleheader between St. John's and Providence has been cancelled due to heavy rain. The Red Storm will host the Friars on Thursday, May 1 at Red Storm Field. First pitch of the conference doubleheader is slated for 2:30 pm.
St. John's is 24-24 on the year with a 7-7 mark in league play. The Red Storm, who currently stand tied for fourth place in the BIG EAST, are looking to secure a spot in the conference championship. St. John's has five home doubleheaders remaining, including hosting Providence, Boston College and Connecticut.
The Red Storm will host Manhattan College tomorrow at noon in a non-conference doubleheader.
