Red Storm Women's Golf Team on a Roll

Lewisburg, PA - St. John's women's golf team is in first place after the first round of the Lady Bison Classic being played at Bucknell Golf Club in Lewisburg, PA. The Red Storm are on a tremendous roll, coming off a great performance at the Rutgers Invitational inwhich they placed first for their second team championship of the season, with the first coming at the Mount Holyoke Invitational in September.
The Red Storm carded a first round 17-over par 305 and are eight strokes ahead of the field. St. Francis Univieristy is currently in second place at 25-over par 313.
St. John's was led by freshman Brittany Lambertson(Northport, NY) who fired a three-over par 75. Lambertson is currently in second place one stroke behind Tarah Schloss from St. Francis University who shot a two-over par 74. Juniors Christin Thomson(Ontario, Canada) and Maggie Steciuk(Ontario, Canada) both carded a first score of four-over par 76.
Also contributing to the Red Storm's first round success was senior Jaclyn Sanders (Ontario, Canada) who shot a six-over par 76. Junior Katie Leble (Ontario, Canada) carded a 14-over par 86, while senior Jennifer Rhee (Rydal, PA) playing as an individual fired a six-over par 78.
The St. John's women's golf team returns to action Sunday,October 24 for the second round of the Lady Bison Classic at Bucknell Golf Club in Lewisburg, PA.
