Masur Meets McErnoe During CampUs Visit

Queens, NY - St. John's University in conjunction with the After-School All-Stars of NYC program welcomed tennis legend John McEnroe and three-time Olympic runner and Laureus Chairman, Edwin Moses on Friday, July 30, 2004. The pair took part in sports and academic activities with the approximately 400 children who participate in the University's summer academic and athletic enrichment program entitled CampUs. This program is underwritten by the New York City Housing Authority and New York City Department of Education and supported by the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation, USA. "Our staff provides these young people with the skills they need to be successful in a personal and academic setting and motivates them to stay in school and strive to attend college."
