The St. John's men's golf team closed out the fall season with a sixth place finish at the BIG EAST-MAC Challenge in Orlando, Fla.
Earning his fourth top-five finish of the fall was sophomore Keegan Bradley (Jackson Hole, Wyo.). Bradley capped an outstanding fall season by taking second overall and logging the best score for BIG EAST competitors. He carded a two-under-par 70 in each of the three rounds, marking the fourth time this season he has been the top finisher for the Red Storm.
Senior Brian McArdle (Huntington, N.Y.) had a strong outing on the green Sunday, shooting two-under-par 70 and finishing tied for 24th. Sophomore George Zolotas (Peabody, Mass.) rounded out the top-20 with a 74 this afternoon. Freshman Kevin Velardo (Wilmington, Mass.) closed out his rookie fall season with a 77 while junior Joe Yastrub (Lake Grove, N.Y.) carded a six-over-par 78.
BIG EAST foes Marquette and South Florida finished first and second, respectively. Taking first place individual honors was Ohio University's Mark Cimarolli, who carded just three strokes less than Bradley.
Overall, the Red Storm recorded two first-place finishes this fall at the McLaughlin and Tillinghast. The team took second at the Rutgers Invitational and fifth at the Mission Inn Classic.
