Women's Tennis Falls 4-3 at Army

West Point, NY - The St. John's University women's tennis team dropped its third consecutive match this afternoon, falling 4-3 at Army. Barbora Blahutiakova, Lauren Leo and Allison Davidson all won their respective singles matches, but St. John's came up short as a team.
Army took the doubles point after sweeping all three matches, a point that would later decide the match's winner, as the teams split the six singles points.
At No. 1 singles, Hande Gorur fell 6-1, 6-4 to Marissa Limsiaco. Blahutiakova picked up a point for St. John's with an easy 6-2, 6-0 win over Christine Ong at No. 2. Kristina Bothova fought in two tough sets against Amy Morgenstern at No. 3, but fell 7-6, 7-6.
St. John's picked up wins at the No. 4 and No. 6 spots, as Leo topped Megan Noble 6-2, 6-3 at No. 4 and Davidson beat Lyndsey Nott 6-2, 6-2 at No. 6. Both Leo and Davidson remain undefeated in singles action this season for the Red Storm.
Jennifer Segar beat Lauren Lorenzetti 6-1, 6-1 at the No. 5 spot. St. John's is back in action on Saturday, February 19th at home against Georgetown.
