Queens, NY - Junior Brian McArdle (Huntington, NY) is tied for 25th place and St. John's shot a 27-over par 311 in the second round, as the Red Storm men's golf team enters the final day of play in 12th place at the Dick Wittcoff/USF Invitational in Tampa, Florida.
Florida Southern leads the 15-team field with a combined score of 23-over par 591, seven shots better than host South Florida. Mercer is in third place at 31-over par 599.
Brandan Price of Mercer leads the field of 78 golfers with a three-over par 144.
McArdle shot a seven-over par 78 on Saturday to tie for 25th place at 11-over par 153. Freshman Keegan Bradley (Hopkinton, MA) is tied for 46th place at 15-over par 157 and junior Tom Travalja (Oradell, NJ) is tied for 60th place at 17-over par 159. Sophomore Joe Yastrub (Lake Grove, NY) shot a five-over par 76 on Saturday and is tied for 63rd at 18-over par 160 and senior Ian Middleton (British Columbia, Canada) is tied for 74th place at 22-over par 164.
The tournament concludes on Sunday.
