Red Storm Women Place 12th at Indiana Invitational

April 5th, 2005 Queens, NY--The Red Storm women's golf team shot a combined seventy-over par 646 to place 12th at the Indiana Invitational this past weekend. The event was cut short to only thirty six holes due to wet course conditions.
The shortened tournament saw Noriko Nakazaki of Notre Dame take home top honors, shooting a two over par 146.
With Nagazaki setting the tone, the Fighting Irish won the tournament (629), followed by Grand Valley State (629), the University of Minnesota (634), Ohio University (635), and the University of Toledo and Marshall University tying for the fifth spot with a six-thirty-six.
The St. John's ladies were led by Brittany Lambertson, finishing at a ten over par 154, tying her for sixth place overall. Christin Thomas shot a sixteen over par 160 (T-22), Maggie Steciuk and Jaclyn Sanders tied for fifty-eighth, both shooting a twenty three over par 167. Jennifer Rhee rounded out the Red Storm's top five with thirty over par 174.
The Red Storm returns to action on April 11 when they will travel to Hartford, CT for the Hartford Invitational.
