Queens, NY--St. John's head men's soccer coach Dave Masur will conduct three clinics, one in the fall, winter and spring. They will all be held on St. John's main campus in Queens.
The fall clinic will be on Saturday, Oct. 29, 2005, at Belson Stadium. It will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The one-day clinic includes three hours of light training, games and instructions from the coaches.
There are two options for the winter clinic, a Saturday or Sunday option in which the clinic meets for four consecutive Saturdays or Sundays. The Saturdays are Jan. 7, 14, 21 and 28 while the Sunday dates are Jan. 8, 15, 22 and 29. Both sections meet from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
In the spring, there are also two choices. The clinics will both meet on Monday, April 1, 8, 17 and 24. The first option is from 5-6:30 p.m. and the second runs from 6:30-8 p.m.
Both the winter and spring clinics will be held indoors.
Coach Masur is in his 15th season at the helm of the Red Storm program. He has coached St. John's to 13 straight NCAA Tournament appearances, which include the national championship in 1996, three trips to the national semifinals and one to the NCAA finals in 2003.
Along with Coach Masur, the clinic will be conducted by St. John's assistant coaches, Marc Reeves and Chad Riley. Players such as Matt Groenwald will be at the clinic to help out.
