Roxann Struble Named To BIG EAST Honor Roll

QUEENS, N.Y. - Roxann Struble (Chino, Calif.) was named to the BIG EAST's honor roll for the week of March 20. It is the first time the rookie has gotten a mention and marks the fifth consecutive week a St. John's softball player has been recognized by the conference.
Struble went 9-for-15 (.600) at the plate with nine hits, five RBI, two doubles and one triple in a 4-0 week for the Red Storm. In a 7-6 victory over Yale, she came up with two big hits, one to tie the game and send it into extra innings and one to drive in the winning run in bottom of the 12th.
Overall, Struble is hitting .441 with 26 hits, seven runs and 15 RBI.
The Red Storm plays its next home game on Wednesday, March 22 against Fairleigh Dickinson at 2 p.m.
