Will Vogl Named To BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - For his performance in the Red Storm's series win over East Tennessee State last weekend, senior outfielder Will Vogl was named to the BIG EAST's Weekly Honor Roll, as announced by the conference office on Wednesday. Vogl went 6-for-13 at the plate with a double, two home runs, three RBI and five runs against the Buccaneers to help St. John's win two of three games.
Vogl led a team offensive effort that produced 13 hits and over 10 runs per game in the series at East Tennessee State. The Red Storm won big over the Buccaneers in games on Friday, March 3, and Sunday, March 5, but fell in Saturday's second game, 5-3. On Friday, Vogl hit an RBI single, walked twice and stole a base in the team's 15-1 winning effort in the series opener, and went 4-for-5 with a double, two home runs and four runs scored in Sunday's 14-9 win.
For the season, Vogl is hitting .455 with four home runs, four doubles and one triple and has a team-high 1.000 slugging percentage. He is tied for the team lead with 11 runs and 10 RBI and has posted a .526 on-base percentage.
