St. John's Softball Doubleheader At UConn Postponed Until Monday

STORRS, Conn. - St. John's softball doubleheader at UConn, orginially scheduled for Sunday, April 23 at 12 p.m., has been rescheduled for Monday, April 24. First pitch will be thrown at 1 p.m. Heavy rains and flooding throughout the weekend prevented the games from being played as planned.
The Red Storm split a pair of conference games at Providence on Saturday, April 22. In game one, St. John's edged Providence 2-1 in eight innings before taking a tough loss in game two, 3-1. Sophomore Lisa Geer (Anaheim, Calif.) picked up her ninth run of the season, giving up only one earned run over eight innings. Junior Loren Anguiano (Mesa, Ariz.) led the offense, going 2-for-5 at the plate with two RBI.
