Men??' Golf Posts Strong Second Round At NCAA Regionals

The St. John???s men???s golf team carded a 14-over par in the second round of the 2007 NCAA Regionals. Rookie Mike Ballo Jr. led the team on the links today, shooting a one under-par 71.
Ballo, sophomore Kevin Velardo and senior George Zolotas all improved on their first round scores. Ballo???s 71 was 15 strokes better than his first day score of 86. The freshman now has a 13 over-par 157 heading into the final 18 holes. Velardo posted a three-over par 75 in round two, matching Ballo???s two round total of 157. Meanwhile, Zolotas shot an eight over-par 80.
Junior Keegan Bradley recorded a six-over par 78 in day two and heads into tomorrow???s round with a four-over par 148. His score is a Red Storm best and is tied for 34th overall. Teammate Dan Mollicone finished the day with an 82, brining his two day total to 159.
