Women??' Golf Taking Summer Circuit By Storm

Members of the St. John???s women???s golf team have been hard at work this summer, competing in many local events over the last few weeks.
Sophomore Lois Kim qualified for the USGA Women???s Publinx Championship by shooting a 78 at the Flanders Valley Country Club in Flanders, N.J. She will head to the Kearney Hills Golf Links in Lexington, Ky., for the Championship tournament, which will take place on June 18-23.
Newcomer Michelle Romano recently competed at the WMGA Met Amateur on June 7 at the Rockland Country Club in Sparkhill, N.Y. She took second place overall, carding a 77 in the 36-hole event.
Leader of the Red Storm women???s golf team, Brittany Lamberston, will compete as the only woman in the field at the Long Island Amateur Championship, which beings on June 11 at the Huntington Country Club. She will compete against current St. John???s men???s golfer Casey Calmi and alumni Joe Yastrub.
