QUEENS, N.Y. - The St. John's women's basketball team will hit the road to continue league play when it travels to face No. 21/24 DePaul on Tuesday at 7 p.m. (CST).
• The game will feature live stats and live audio that can be accessed on www.depaulbluedemons.com
• Both the Red Storm and DePaul enter the contest with a 1-1 league slate. St. John's is coming off a 63-51 win over the University of South Florida on Tuesday, while the Blue Demons picked up a 66-55 win over Providence on Saturday. The schools both bounced back from opening up the conference slate with a loss. St. John's dropped a close contest to then-No. 6 Rutgers, 58-50, while DePaul lost to Pittsburgh, 97-68.
• The contest between St. John's and DePaul is the third meeting all-time. The schools met up for the first time during the 2005-06 season when the BIG EAST expanded to a 16-team conference. The teams have split games, with each coming out victorious on its home court. The Blue Demons won the initial meeting, 70-67, on Feb. 18, 2006, at McGrath Arena, while St. John's came out victorious, 78-61, on Jan. 20, 2007, at Carnesecca Arena.
Rebounding Machine
• Freshman Centhya "Coco" Hart could not be denied on the boards against USF and pulled in a career and team-best 18 rebounds. Her rebounding effort ties for sixth place in the St. John's single-game record books and is the most rebounds by a Red Storm player since Cozette Ballentine nabbed 18 against Pittsburgh on Jan, 23, 1991. Hart powered her way on both the offensive and defensive side, pulling in nine boards on each end en route to her first-career double-digit rebounding game.
