HANOVER, N.H. - Monique McLean scored a game-high 23 points and Kelly McManmon added 19 as the St. John's women's basketball team defeated Dartmouth, 74-39, on Tuesday night at Leede Arena.
With the win, the Red Storm improves to 2-0 on the year, while the Big Green's record drops to 0-2.

McManmon was 6-of-9 from the field and scored 15 of her 19 points from 3-point range (5-for-7). Her five treys tie for 10th in the Red Storm single-game record book, a feat she has accomplished three times.
Rookie Da'Shena Stevens recorded her first-career double-digit scoring contest with a 10-point performance, as she was 3-of-6 from the field and 4-for-7 from the free-throw line.
On the defensive side, junior Joy McCorvey led the way with a team-high nine rebounds, and sophomore Sheree Ledbetter pulled in a career-high eight boards.

The Red Storm went on a 12-0 run to spark its scoring and take a 41-26 lead. McManmon scored five of her 19 points during that stretch.
St. John's went on to shoot 46.9 from the field in the second half, and held Dartmouth to only 18.2 percent. After only pulling in 17 rebounds in the opening stanza, the Red Storm came on strong and pulled in 27 boards in the final frame to outrebound the Big Green 44-38. STJ also took advantage of Big Green miscues, and tallied 13 second-half points off of Dartmouth turnovers.
St. John's will look to extend its winning streak when it travels to face local rival Manhattan on Saturday at 2 p.m.
