St. John's Looks To Extend Three-Game Winning Streak

QUEENS, N.Y. - The St. John's women's basketball team (3-0) returns home to the newly-renovated Carnesecca Arena looking to extend its three-game winning streak when it hosts Army on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m.
• RedStormSports.com will stream the game live through StormTracker All-Access presented by Allstate. The contest will have a live video and audio broadcast, which will feature a three-camera setup, a scoreboard and advanced production capabilities. Fans can access the feature by going to RedStormSports.com, clicking on the All-Access button and signing up for the service. The All-Access subscription is $9.95 a month or $79.95 for the year. There will also be live stats for the contest that can be accessed for free.
History Lesson
• The Red Storm and the Black Knights meet for the 12th time in history, with St. John's holding the edge in the all-time series, 7-4. The Red Storm has won four of its last five meetings with Army, including last year's contest, a 72-58 win in West Point on Nov. 13. Overall, St. John's has a 3-1 record at home, a 4-1 record on the road and a 0-2 slate at neutral sites against Army.
Scouting The Black Knights
• Army enters the contest with a 1-3 overall record and will be looking to rebound from its 64-56 loss to Loyola on Nov. 23. The Black Knights opened the season dropping their first two games of the year before posting their lone win of 2008-09, a 56-43 victory over Maryland-Eastern Shore on Nov. 19.
• Alex McGuire leads the way for the Army offense, averaging a team-high 12.5 points per game. Two other Black Knight players are scoring in double figures, as Erin Anthony and Nalini Hawkins are averaging 11.0 and 10.0 ppg, respectively. On the defensive side, Megan Evans is pacing the way with a team-high 7.8 rebounds per game, while Courtney Wright is grabbing 6.8 boards per contest.
All Day Against Manhattan
• Da'Shena Stevens could not be denied against Manhattan on Nov. 22. The freshman recorded her first career double-double with a game-high 20 points and 13 rebounds. She was 7-of-17 from the field, 6-of-9 from the charity stripe and recorded two assists, two steals and a team-high three blocks. She took things into her hands in the second half and scored 11 points in the final frame.
