QUEENS, N.Y. - St. John's men's golf alumnus Keegan Bradley took home his first-career professional title at the par-72 Southern Dunes GC in Haines City, Fla., winning by five strokes with a 16-under 200.
"Honestly, we all knew it was just a matter of time before Keegan would win a title," said head coach Frank Darby. "Keegan has the ability and talent to be a great professional golfer and really showed it today."
Bradley outscored a field of 132 golfers and took over first place in the third and final round after entering the last day in second place. The Red Storm alumnus posted scores of 5-under 67, 6-under 66 and 5-under 67 for the tournament.
"He really used his mental part of his game very well," said volunteer assistant coach Pete Solona. "It is a positive showing that he should build off of and continue to do well."
