• The Red Storm went on an 8-0 run from 10:44 to 9:11 of the first half to take a 20-17 lead. During the stretch, STJ had three steals and a defensive rebound. The team did not trail again in the game.
• With a pair of free throws at 7:35 of the first half, Monique McLean scored her ninth point of the game and moved into sole possession of seventh place on St. John's all-time scoring list.
• McLean finished with 22 points and was named the tournament MVP.
• Fueled by 10 first-half points from both McLean and Kelly McManmon, St. John's went into the locker room with a 37-31 advantage. On the season, the Red Storm is a perfect 11-0 when leading at the half.
• St. John's took its largest lead with 10:35 left in the second half when a layup by McManmon gave the Red Storm a 15-point lead, 57-42.
• McManmon totaled 18 points in the game on 6-of-10 shooting from the floor, including four 3-pointers. She was named to the all-tournament team.
• Da'Shena Stevens recorded the second double-double of her young career with 12 points and 11 boards. The freshman's double-digit rebounding effort was her second in as many days.
• Stevens also matched her career high in free throws in the first half, going a perfect 6-for-6 from the line.
• Forward Joy McCorvey also turned in a double-double performance with 10 points and 10 rebounds. She was also named to the all-tournament team.
