QUEENS, N.Y. - Head men's soccer coach Dr. Dave Masur recently spent a week in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., assisting the U-18 Men's National Team. The team, coached by Bob Jenkins, spent the week training and also played three games.
Having worked with the men's U-20 national team before, it was a week for Masur to reconnect with the National Team staff and prepare the team for upcoming international matches in May.
"It is always a great opportunity and an honor to work with the U-18 National Team," Masur said. "Working with Coach Jenkins and his staff is always an envigorating experience."
Over the course of the week, Masur had the chance to work with some of the best players and top college prospects in the country. The training and drills focused on preparing the team for college play and eventually the U-20 team.
Masur was also able to reconnect with Thomas Rongen, the head coach of the U-20 Men's National Team.
"These are the coaches that I have developed long-term relationships with," Masur added. "It is always nice to be given the chance to work with them."
