QUEENS, N.Y. -
- After trailing most of the first half, St. John's erased a 7-point deficit and tied the game at 14-14 on two free throws by Britney Murphy at 8:44. Later, at 7:19, a pair of freebies by Da'Shena Stevens gave the Red Storm its first lead, 16-14.
- STJ went on a 12-0 run in a 2:55 span during the first half to build a 19-14 lead. Senior Kelly McManmon led the way with five points during the stretch.
- With 15 points, all in the second half, Monique McLean moved into sole possession of sixth place on the Red Storm's all-time scoring list. She now has 1,411 career points. The senior also matched the team-high with seven rebounds.
- The Red Storm shot a season-high 84.6-percent from the free throw line (11-for-13).
- Britney Murphy matched her career high by tallying five points for the second straight game.
- Sophomore Sky Lindsay chipped in seven points, set a new career high with three blocks and matched her career best with three steals.
- Freshman Da'Shena Stevens matched the team-high with seven rebounds.
- With four assists, senior Kelly McManmon matched her career high.
