St. John's Set To Battle Princeton On ESPNU

QUEENS, N.Y. - The St. John's men's soccer team (3-2-6) travels to New Jersey on Wednesday to battle Princeton in a game that will be televised nationally on ESPNU. The Red Storm and Tigers will kick off at 6 p.m. at Roberts Stadium. Justin Kutcher will handle the play-by-play, while Cat Whitehill, a defender on the U.S. Women's National Team, will provide the color analysis. Hoffer Notches Game-Winner For First-Career Goal
- In a 2-0 win against Rutgers, junior Kyle Hoffer scored his first-career goal in a Red Storm uniform.
- The game-winning goal gave St. John's a 1-0 lead in the 20th minute and came on assists from Joel Gustafsson and Sverre Wegge Gundhus.
- The 2007 SUNYAC Rookie of Year, Hoffer tallied eight goals and five assists as a freshman at SUNY Oneonta before to transferring to St. John's.
Terra Remains Perfect On PKs
- Tadeu Terra took St. John's first penalty kick of the season and converted it for an insurance goal in a 2-0 win against Rutgers on Oct. 7.
- For Terra, who has tied a career-high with three goals this season, it was his fourth-career penalty kick goal.
- The junior is 4-for-4 in his career from the PK spot, going 2-for-2 in 2006 and 1-for-1 in 2008.
