QUEENS, N.Y. -
- St. John's jumped out to a 16-5 lead at the 11:13 mark. After Fordham made it 16-9, the Red Storm used a 9-0 run to take a 25-9 advantage.
- Fordham cut into a 42-23 halftime deficit with an 8-0 run to open the second half. St. John's, however, responded with a 9-0 run to go up 51-31.
- The Red Storm finished without a 3-pointer for the first time this season, going 0-for-14 from long range. St. John's had been draining 5.9 3's per game, while shooting 34.1 percent from beyond the arc entering the contest.
- St. John's had a season-low nine turnovers. The Red Storm also scored 19 points off of 21 Fordham turnovers.
- Justin Brownlee recorded his first-career double-double, setting new career-highs in both points (14) and rebounds (14). Brownlee had a double-double in the first-half alone with 12 points and 10 boards in the opening frame. The junior was also 4-for-4 from the free throw to remain perfect on the season (8-for-8).
- D.J. Kennedy finished in double-figures for the ninth time this season with 13 points. Kennedy also added 13 rebounds for his first double-double effort this season.
- After tallying seven points in the game's first six minute, Paris Horne finished with 14 points.
- Malik Stith scored six points in the second half to finish with a career-high seven on the day. The freshman was 3-of-5 from the field.
- Dele Coker had five points, two rebounds and four blocks. In the past three games, Coker is averaging 5.3 points, 4.3 rebounds and 4.0 blocks. Coker has recorded at least three blocks in four games this year.
