NEW YORK -
- St. John's held Louisville to just 38.5 percent (20-of-52) from the floor, including 34.8 percent in the first half. Entering today's game, the Cardinals were shooting 43.5 percent on the season.
- Shooting 34.0 percent from beyond the arc on the year, the Cardinals were also limited to just 17.6 percent (3-of-17) from long range.
- Averaging 73.6 points per game this season, Louisville was held to just 19 first half points. The 19 points are tied for the second-lowest output allowed by St. John's this season. The Red Storm allowed just 18 first-half points against Howard (11/22/08) and 19 second-half points against Marist (12/20/08).
- Sean Evans scored a team-high 12 points and added a game-high nine rebounds. Evans has reached double-figures in three-straight games and has averaged 9.0 rebounds per game in the last four contests.
- In his third game since returning from injury, Malik Boothe finished with six points, four rebounds and three assists. In the last three games, Boothe has tallied 12 assists to just five turnovers. Boothe also played 40 minutes for the second-straight game.
- Sophomore Justin Burrell tallied 10 points to reach double-figures for the third-straight game.
- Paris Horne was held to nine points, marking just the fourth time this season that he has not reached double-figures. Horne had been averaging 19.1 points per game in the last seven contests.
- D.J. Kennedy reached double-figures for the second-straight game and 16th time this season with a 10-point performance.
