QUEENS, N.Y. - The St. John's softball team will make a trip to the White House on Friday before facing BIG EAST-rival Georgetown in a doubleheader on Saturday.
"We are very fortunate to have this opportunity especially after our team already had the chance to visit Pearl Harbor this season," said head coach Amy Kvilhaug. "It is important to make sure our student-athletes have valuable life experiences on and off the field."
The Red Storm has set a program record with 11 conference wins this season and looks to end the regular season on a high note after a trip to the nation's capital.
St. John's is looking to clinch its first BIG EAST Tournament appearance since 2006 and after a day at the home of the President, STJ will play its final two games of the regular season vs. the Hoyas.
The Hoya-Red Storm doubleheader will be at held at Guy Mason Field in Washington, D.C., with the first game starting at noon.
