QUEENS, N.Y. - St. John's head softball coach Amy Kvilhaug has announced that Chrissy Montez has signed a National Letter of Intent to play for the Red Storm beginning in the 2009-10 academic year.
"We are excited about Chrissy's decision to attend St. John's University and become a member of our program," said Kvilhaug. "Chrissy is a tremendous athlete who really flew beneath the radar in the recruiting process. She is very athletic, excelling not only on the softball diamond but on the basketball court as well and will look to make an immediate impact at shortstop as she has such quick hands, great range, and a very strong arm."
