QUEENS, N.Y. - St. John's head softball coach Amy Kvilhaug announced that middle infielder/outfielder Amber Curry has signed a National Letter of Intent and will join the Red Storm to start her college career beginning in the fall of 2009.
"I think it's a great for us to have landed someone of Amber's quality and her caliber," Kvilhaug said. "She is going to really bring it all. Defensively, she has great range whether patrolling the outfield or playing middle infield. She has great game sense, speed and power and she can hit from both sides of the plate. She brings a lot of versatility, so there are numerous positions we can play her at."
