St. John's Set To Open BIG EAST Play

QUEENS, N.Y. - The No. 15/15 St. John's men's soccer team opens defense of its BIG EAST Red Division regular season title with a pair of BIG EAST games at Belson Stadium this weekend. The Red Storm hosts Georgetown at 8 p.m. on Sept. 18 and welcomes Seton Hall at 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 20. Both contests will feature GameTracker as well as live video available at www.RedStormSports.com. The St. John's women host Syracuse at 5 p.m. on Sept. 18 in the first part of a Red Storm soccer double header at Belson Stadium.

123-30-13: St. John's record in BIG EAST play since head coach Dr. Dave Masur took the helm in 1991.
Inside The Series With Georgetown
- This will be the 26th meeting in a series that began in 1985. The teams have not met, however, since a 5-2 Red Storm win on Sept. 10, 2006.
- St. John's leads the series 18-4-3, including a 7-1-2 mark at home.
- The Red Storm is 5-0-1 in the series since 2000, outscoring the Hoyas 11-2.
