St. John's junior guard Sky Lindsay led the team in scoring for the second time this season with 15 points. She scored 12 in the opening frame, marking the most she has scored in a single half this season.
The Red Storm bench outscored West Virginia's bench 22-15. Freshman guard Shenneika Smith accounted for 11 points on 5-of-9 shooting for STJ.
The Red Storm out-rebounded the Mountaineers 50-43 in the contest. STJ's 50 rebounds were a season high.

Senior forward Joy McCorvey now has 672 career boards and ranks fifth on the St. John's all-time rebounding list. She is 12 rebounds away from passing Kerry Karst (683) for fourth place.
Senior guard Kelly McManmon is now four treys away from breaking the STJ career 3-point record held by Monique McLean at 172. McManmon currently has 169 career 3-pointers.
