QUEENS, N.Y. - The Serves & Service event, originally scheduled for Sunday afternoon will now be held on April 18th, from 2-5 p.m., because of potential weather complications. In the event of rain on April 18th, shuttle service from the Queens campus will be provided to the Alley Pond Tennis Center.
Head coach Gemma Alexander-Mozeak, the creator of the event, has collaborated with Hemel Meghani-Cosme of the Alley Pond Tennis Center, Michelle Blake-Wilson of USTA Eastern and Nancy Zapata of Greenline Newspapers to help make this year's event a success.
Last year, the Serves & Service event raised more than $2,000 for the Love/Avon Army of Women charity to help support the search for a cure for breast cancer. Proceeds from this year's event will benefit the women's tennis program and the St. John's Bread and Life Soup Kitchen.

St. John's faces BIG EAST rival Villanova on Thursday, April 1 at 1:30 p.m. in Villanova, Pa.
