Parque Named To BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

QUEENS, N.Y. - After helping St. John's win its sixth-straight BIG EAST series with two wins against USF as part of a 3-1 week, Jimmy Parque has been named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll. This is the second-career weekly honor roll mention for the senior in his two seasons with the Red Storm.
Parque batted .588 (10-for-17) on the week, including a .583 (7-for-12) clip in conference action. The outfielder had one double, five RBI and three runs scored. The senior had a trio of three-hit games, including two against the Bulls and one against Iona to open the week. Parque also had a pair of two-RBI games.
A third team All-BIG EAST selection in 2009, Parque currently ranks second in the BIG EAST with a team-best 74 hits on the year. The senior is also tied for seventh in the Conference with 17 doubles.
