Cloutier Named To All-BIG EAST Women's Golf Team

QUEENS, N.Y. - St. John's Renee Cloutier was named to the All-BIG EAST Women's Golf Team for the second straight year as announced by the conference office.
Cloutier was named to the first ever All-BIG EAST Women's Golf Team last season. As a sophomore in 2007-08, she was named to the BIG EAST All-Conference Team after finishing 10th at the BIG EAST Championship.
This season, Cloutier led the team with a 78.39 stroke average and tied for the team lead with four top-10 finishes. The senior from Niceville, Fla., tied for fourth place at the Marilynn Smith Sunflower Invitational in Manhattan, Kan. (Sept. 28-29), carding a 79-75-75-229 (+13). Her best finish this year was a second-place showing at the Sacred Heart Fall Classic (Oct. 18-19) when she led the team with an 82-75-152 (+13). Her second-round 75 was the lowest round of the tournament.
In the spring, Cloutier tied for sixth place at the C&F Bank Intercollegiate (March 20-21) with a 73-77-150 (+6) and earned BIG EAST Golfer of the Week following her performance. She tied for seventh at the BIG EAST Championship (April 18-20), carding a 79-81-74-234 (+21).
The St. John's women's golf team posted three top-5 finishes in 2009-10, including a victory in the Sacred Heart Fall Classic Oct. 18-19 at Great River Golf Club (Milford, Conn.).
