Team Notes
- The 64-58 win by St. Bonaventure's ties the all-time series 1-1.
- In the 10 years of the Kim Barnes Arico era, the Red Storm is now 7-3 in season openers, and winner of four of their last five opening tilts
- St. John's is now 5-1 all-time against teams currently in the Atlantic 10.
- The Red Storm dominated inside, outscoring the Bonnies 20-10 in the paint during the first half and 30-20 during the game.
Individual Notes
- Junior Jennifer Blanding won the opening tip for the Red Storm.
- A jumper by Mary Nwachukwu with 16:19 remaining in the first half marked her first points as a member of the Red Storm. She went on to score in double figures for the first time in her career, including her freshman season at Boston College.
- Both Nwachukwu and Blanding made their first career starts for the Red Storm.
- Nwachukwu went a perfect 4-for-4 from the field and 2-for-2 from the free throw line during today's game.
- On a layup with 12:57 remaining in the first half, freshman Amber Thompson scored her first career points for St. John's.
- At the 9:42 mark in the first half, Eugenia McPherson scored her 10th point to reach double figures for the 20th time in her Red Storm career. She finished with 15 points in a career-high 39 minutes of action, including every play of the second half.
- Keylantra Langley set a new career high in blocks with two swats in the second half to go with her new career-high of nine points.
- Shenneika Smith was the second St. John's player into double figures, marking the 47th time she has accomplished the feat in her career. It was also the fourth-straight regular season game in which Smith had at least 10 points.
