Lee became the first St. John's women's golfer to win a major conference award when she was named BIG EAST Freshman of the Year last week. She was also named to the All-BIG EAST Women's Golf Team after an outstanding freshman campaign that included three tournament titles, nine top-10 performances in 10 events, eight top-5 showings, seven top-3 finishes, a 75.04 scoring average and two BIG EAST Women's Golfer of the Week honors. She is currently ranked the 193rd golfer in the nation in the latest Golfweek women's collegiate individual rankings. She has gone 1-0 against opponents in the top 25, 2-0 against the top 50, 5-4 against the top 100 and 636-29-11 overall.
On April 19, Lee won the first BIG EAST Women's Golf individual championship in St. John's history in thrilling fashion, beating Lousiville's AnnaKarin Ljungstrom in a four-hole playoff at Innisbrook Resort & Spa's Island Course. She finished with a 73-69-79--221 (+5) through the first 54 holes at the par-72, 6,205-yard course to tie Ljungstrom, whose 1-over 73 was the best final-round score, and force a playoff. The playoff was on holes no. 17, 18, 1 and 2 and both players traded pars through the first three. On the par-5, 475-yard second hole, Ljungstrom hit into the bunker and double-bogeyed while Lee made par to win her third individual title in just 10 career collegiate events.
Lee won all three of her individual titles in the spring season. She opened the spring slate with a bang in the Sunshine State, shooting 73-73-73--219 (+3) to earn her first collegiate individual championship at the EKU El Diablo Intercollegiate, held March 10-12 at El Diablo Golf and Country Club. She set new STJ records for lowest round and lowest tournament performance to earn her second individual crown. Lee carded an impressive 69-68--137 (-7) on April 11 to take an eight-stroke win in the Brown Bear Invitational at Rhode Island Country Club.
