PISCATAWAY, N.J. - St. John's junior women's golfer Harin Lee shot a 73(+1) in the final round of the Rutgers Invitational to take a four-shot win on Saturday. The title expands on Lee's school record, giving her seven individual wins in under two and a half years as a member of the Red Storm.
"My goal for this week was to hit a lot of greens, and just by doing that I was able to score well," Lee said. "My goal when I go out is to never be more than one over par, so to shoot back-to-back 73's was a big deal for me."
The second title of the fall for the Bayside, N.Y. native helped propel the Red Storm to a third place finish at the Rutgers Invitational, the second-straight year that St. John's has finished in the top-3 at the Rutgers University Golf Course.
Junior Stephanie Eybers continued her solid play by shooting a 76(+4) in the second round to finish with a two-day total of 151 good for seventh place, just one stroke back of a five-way tie for second.
Classmate Rachel Carpenter had her best round of the tournament, firing a 78(+6) in the second round. Redshirt junior Jennifer Neville shot an 81(+9) while senior Sebin Kim carded an 86(+14) to round out the scoring for the Red Storm.
Sophomore Cameron Lambertson carded her best round of the tournament with an 84(+12) in the final round while playing as an individual.
The Red Storm will wrap up its fall season October 19-21 at the Lehigh Invitational in Upper Saucon, Pa.
