Kristina Quan Named To CoSIDA Academic All-District First Team

QUEENS, N.Y. - St. John's women's soccer junior Kristina Quan was voted to the Capital One® Academic All-District squad as announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America on Thursday night.
Quan was named to the Capital One Academic All-District 1 first team and will be considered for the national ballot, which will be announced later this month. Quan is one of four defenders on the squad from 15 players total.
It is Quan's second-straight year as one of the CoSIDA Academic All-District members. In 2011, Quan was voted to the second team.
The Red Storm defender from Calgary, Alberta, Canada boasts a 4.0 cumulative GPA in Chemistry. Her career awards also include 2010-11 and 2011-12 BIG EAST All-Academic Team honors.
Quan played in integral role in the Red Storm defense, starting 11 of the 13 games she played this season. She helped St. John's to four shutouts in 2012. The junior played 10 games start to finish of the 13 and logged 1,092 minutes of game action.
As a sophomore, Quan played 805 minutes of action and helped St. John's record seven shutouts. During her rookie season, Quan played in 18 games and started 10. She was one of four freshmen to play in all 18 games and logged 1,145 minutes of game action, third most of any freshman.
