Team Notes
- St. John's had four players in double-figures and is 5-3 this seaosn when four players reach double-figures.
- The Red Storm improved to 6-1 this season when leading at the break. St. John's also improved to 4-2 in games decided by five or less points.
- St. John's concluded the non-conference portion of its regular season schedule with a 7-6 mark.
- St. John's shot a season-high 87.5 percent (14-of-16) from the charity stripe. The Red Storm was 9-of-9 in the first half and made its first 11 free throws in the game.
- For the first time this season, St. John's finished level with its opponent on the boards as both teams finished with 39 rebounds.
- The Red Storm finished with just 11 turnovers, its fifth-straight game with fewer than 12 miscues. St. John's is 8-8 on the year when having fewer turnovers.
Individual Notes
- Moe Harkless finished with 10 points and 12 rebounds to notch his 10th-career double-double, including his sixth in the past 13 games. The 10-point performance marked the freshman's 23rd-career double-figure game. Harkless also grabbed a career-high six steals.
- D'Angelo Harrison reached the 20-point mark for the 10th time in his career with a game-high 22 points. The freshman tied a career-high with eight rebounds and finished 2-of-6 from beyond the arc for his 20th-career multi-trey game. Harrison is shooting 47.8 percent (33-of-69) from distance in the past nine games.
- Sir'Dominic Pointer finished with 13 points, his highest output since a 14-point game against Connecticut on Dec. 31, 2011. Pointer has reached double-figures in each of the past two games.
- Phil Greene reached double-figures for the second-straight game and 10th time in his career with an 11-point performance. The point guard has reached double-figures seven times in the past 10 games and is averaging 11.0 points per game in that stretch. Greene also had three assists, his sixth-straight game with at least three helpers.
