Assistant Coach Mike Dunlap
Opening Statement:
"We know how we got beat, and that was on the defensive end of the floor. They had 20 more rebounds than we did, and that's a great place for us to start when we look at the film tomorrow. Our players are smart players and they understand that we've got to do a better job on the defensive end."
On Malik Stith:
"He'll always be part of the family. Just because someone is struggling and makes a choice, he's part of us."
On his team's struggles:
"You find out who people are through adversity. You're not going to find out winning frequently because it hides things, but adversity shows things."
Freshman Guard D'Angelo Harrison
On team unity:
"We just play with what we have. We do a good job of staying together no matter what, so we all pulled together this game. We played kind of bad and I credit Cincinnati, but we just try to stay together as a family as much as possible."
On the loss of Malik Stith:
"He was one of the leaders on the team, so it definitely hurts. It means other players have to step up and fill his role. Phil [Greene], me and Moe [Harkless], we all have to step up and we've all got to take over this team."
Freshman Swingman Moe Harkless
On the team's performance tonight:
"I think we've just got to stick together through everything and today we just didn't do a good job out there. I think we shot 32 percent and we let them shoot 51 percent; that's not good."
On the loss of Stith:
"That's our brother. To lose him is tough, but we've just got to stick together and play with what we've got."
