Red Storm Finishes Third At Roar-EE Invitational

MONTBELLO, N.Y. -- The St. John's women's golf team wrapped up the 2012 RoarEE Invitational with a final round 312(+24) to finish third in the team completion. Sophomore Harin Lee shot a 75(+3) on Saturday to take third place in the individual competition.
Senior Ellen Oswald posted a strong finish with a second-round 79 (+7) to finish in a tie for 16th. Junior Jennifer Neville rebounded from an opening-round 86(+4) to post a 76(+4) in the second round and finish tied for 28th.
Classmate Sebin Kim posted an 82 (+10) for the second straight day and sophomore Stephanie Eybers shot an 84 (+12) as the pair tied for 34th.
Harvard took the team title with a two-round total of 600(+24). Host-Columbia's Michelle Piyapattra shot a 144(E) over the two rounds to win the individual title.
St. John's finished four strokes ahead of BIG EAST rival Seton Hall and 11 shots ahead of conference foe Rutgers to give the team solid momentum into the BIG EAST Championships (April 23-25).
