QUEENS, N.Y. --St. John's sophomore women's golfer Harin Lee was named to the All-BIG EAST team as announced by the conference. The Bayside, N.Y. native led the 2011-12 squad in stroke average at 74.24 and a team-best nine top-10 finishes.
This is the second straight year on the all-conference team for the decorated sophomore, who was named to the 2011 All-BIG EAST team after winning the 2011 BIG EAST Championship and being named the league's top freshman.
In the fall 2011 season, Lee came out strong with a win at the Towson Women's Invitational in the very first event of the year. She followed that up with a third-place finish at the Ball State Cardinal Classic en route to being named the BIG EAST Women's Golfer of the Month for September.
She got her second win of the year at the Spider Spring Invitational, where she helped lead the Red Storm to its second of three wins in 2011-12. In total, Lee posted eight finishes in the top three, while never finishing lower than 12th in any tournament. She is the Red Storm's career record holder for individual titles, with five halfway through her career at St. John's.
