Wachowicz Receives Third BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll Mention

QUEENS, N.Y. - Junior Aleksandra Wachowicz was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll as announced by the conference office on Monday night. In a 1-2 week for the Red Storm (16-15, 5-10 BIG EAST), Wachowicz recorded 5.36 kills per set on a .310 hitting percentage. She also led two of the three matches in kills and collected her fifth double-double of the season.
Against Creighton on Friday, Wachowicz had a match-high 22 kills on a .288 percentage. She also added five digs, a pair of blocks, two assists, and a service ace.
Wachowicz then recorded 21 kills on a .333 percentage in a 3-1 win over DePaul on Saturday to lead the match in kills for the second-straight night. She also recorded 10 digs to collect her fifth double-double.
The native of Legionowo, Poland, capped off the weekend with a team-high 16 kills on a .310 percentage against Marquette, while also chipping in four digs and an assist.
This is the third time in both her career and the season that Wachowicz has been named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll.
