Fans Invited To Women's Basketball Pregame Reception On Wednesday

QUEENS, N.Y. - St. John's women's basketball fans are invited to celebrate in the success of the program by attending a pregame reception in the President's Room located in Carnesecca Arena prior to the Red Storm's 7 p.m. conference matchup against Marquette on Wednesday, Feb. 26. The reception, which will cost $20 and begin at 5:30 p.m., includes a game ticket, dinner, wine and soft drinks, along with a St. John's t-shirt and special gifts.
Heading into the homestretch of the regular season, the Red Storm enters Wednesday's BIG EAST contest tied for first place in the league standings with a 19-7 overall record and 12-3 conference mark. St. John's is one of only two teams that remain undefeated on its home court in BIG EAST action and the Red Storm boasts an 11-2 overall home record in the 2013-14 season.
St. John's and Marquette's 7 p.m. tip will be the second meeting this season for the BIG EAST squads as the Red Storm earned an exciting 49-47 win over the Golden Eagles on Jan. 18 in Milwaukee. In the Red Storm's two-point victory, St. John's forced a season-high 25 turnovers and lived up to its name as one of the best 3-point defense units in the country by holding host Marquette to 1-of-14 from behind the arc.
