Kaitlin Fitzgerald Receives Third Consecutive BIG EAST Weekly Honors

QUEENS, N.Y. - For the third consecutive week, freshman Kaitlin Fitzgerald found herself among the top softball players in the conference, earning a spot on the March 24 BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll after a 6-for-10 performance this week.
​The two-time BIG EAST Player of the Week finished the week batting .600 including a double and a home run for a 1.000 slugging percentage while adding a walk and a sacrifice fly to lead the Red Storm to a 2-2 week with a sweep of Manhattan in its home opener. The freshman led the team with five RBI and picked up two of the team's six hits against DePaul this weekend, earning one in each of its two games, while going a perfect 3-for-3 with a walk in the second game against Manhattan on Wednesday.
The Red Storm returns to action on Wednesday when it heads to the Bronx to take on cross-borough foe Fordham at 3 p.m.
