Lauricella Earns Spot On BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

QUEENS, N.Y. - After batting .417 (5-for-12) with a pair of multi-hit games against then-No. 8 Oregon, outfielder Zach Lauricella has earned a spot on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll.
Lauricella hit safely in all three contests to extend his current hitting streak to 10 games. The senior also had one double and a team-high five RBI, including at least one RBI in all three games.
The outfielder went 1-for-4 and had an RBI single as part of a three-run ninth inning that forced extras against the Ducks in game one. After finishing 2-for-4 with an RBI in game two, Lauricella went 2-for-4 with a game-tying, three-run double in the eighth inning of game three.
The senior currently leads the league with a .395 batting average and ranks second with a .526 slugging percentage. Lauricella ranks tied for fifth in RBI (9), sixth in on-base percentage (.439) and tied for seventh in runs scored (7).
